Il Giro del mondo

Il Giro del mondo is a show (in French) that takes the audience through a trip around the world in music from the Baroque era. The story is based on the travels made by italian explorer Giovanni Francesco Gemelli Careri from 1693 to 1698. Back home he wrote these adventures which became a 6 volume long autobiographical book. The ensemble, together with comedian Carlo Ferrante, tell his adventures balanced with music he might have heard whilst discovering new countries and cultures.
